Top 5 Practices to Increase Mental Strength

  Everybody knows and will tell, how important is mental strength when it comes surviving in the real world, as it is no less than a war. Things sometimes get really messy when it comes to handling pressures. Many will suggest taking counseling or trying meditation.
  Meditation may really help but, not all get enough from it, while some suffer depressions from meditation.

So here are my 5 tips to improve mental strength to handle the harsh situation.



1. Evaluate and understand your core beliefs:

  • Core beliefs, what are those? These are you understanding about self.
  • Start by analyzing yourself, write down your strengths and weaknesses, work on them.
  • Think of situations which bring anxiety and try to relate to all the problems it brings.
  • Once you know yourself, try controlling your emotions and your actions, take good decisions and move forward.
  • Doing the above regularly will not only change you but will strengthen your beliefs.


2. Spend your mental energy wisely:

  • Some situations are really cozy and you want to just run away, but you can't to cope up with such things it is necessary to manage stress and take decision wisely.
  • The best things you can do is by sitting quietly and focusing on your breath and relaxing thinking of things that make you feel happy like thinking of your favorite place.
  • Places like interview waiting, or all kind of waiting rooms, or travel, can remove all the juices inside you.
  • So, spending mental energy wisely is a must.
3. Replace negative thoughts with positive ones:
  • When you are alone or sitting doing nothing and fill your mind with either positive things or opposite negative, evil stuff.
  • The most efficient way to overcome this by taking something that will distract you from negative emotions or focusing on positive emotions. 
  • If you are sitting doing nothing, do one thing pick up a hobby like sports, reading, drawing, or something technical.
4. Practice fighting discomfort:
  • Discomfort comes all the time, you just ignore it, all can ignore many things, don't overthink stuff, work on making your self better.
  • Watch motivations videos make TODO lists, keep yourself busy nothing discomforting will grab your attention.
5. Reflect your progress daily:

Practice the following every day: 
  • First thing in the morning, write down things you want to change today, it could be anything like not overthinking.
  • Also, write down a todo list and make sure every task is equally awarded and appreciated and carried out.
  • After the day finish, before going to bed check your to-do list, if any incomplete task exists postpone it to next todo list. Also write down things you feel gratitude towards like thanking for a day, a task completion. awarding, time, health, etc.
